Job Description
The role will primarily focus on Compliance activities in Merrill Lynch International Bank Limited Dublin, which includes cash, payments management; treasury, liquidity services and financial advisory services. Other Compliance activities will include assisting in the local rollout of the Global Compliance Program as well as ensuring compliance with new Irish legislation, regulatory rules.

Responsibilities
Assist in the delivery of the Global Compliance Programme within Ireland
• Policies and Procedures
• Maintain Compliance & AML related policies and procedures required for local regulatory requirements, with regular updating and communication of changes to staff
• Participate in the review of Enterprise and Line of Business policies and advise on any potential conflict with local law or regulation
• Participate in the localization of certain policies and procedures
• Controls and Supervision
• Maintain a record of outstanding compliance issues with deadlines and responsibility for resolution.
• Support Enterprise Compliance requirements including:
• Associate Investment Monitoring Certification
• Restricted List and Wall Crossing disciplines
• Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
• Privacy & Data Protection
• Participate in the Compliance, Operational Risk and Branching Committees

Regulatory Oversight
• Participate in the maintenance of an inventory of applicable country specific rules relating to Compliance and AML
• Assist in the communication with the regulatory relations team, the Local Management Team and regulators.
• Attend as appropriate IBF meetings
• Monitoring
• Participate in the local rollout of the Global Compliance Program including ensure the mapping of laws and regulations to policies, procedures and monitoring activities is maintained.
• Develop and implement the compliance monitoring programme
• Training and Awareness
• Ensure local compliance requirements are identified and addressed.
• Support the delivery of enterprise-wide as well as local training and new associate on boarding
• Conduct the new hire compliance induction presentation
• Foster ongoing and open communication with country management, associates and division compliance associates.
• Reporting
• Assist in the regular reporting of country activity in accordance with agreed timescales and formats.
• Assist in the compilation of certain submissions to the Board
• Commitment and Accountability
• Participate, as required, in internal investigations and ensure they are appropriately addressed


Requirements
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Obtained or working towards the ACOI qualification
• Experience of having worked in an International Banking Environment
• Prior experience of working within a compliance function
• Familiarity with Irish Financial Services Law and Regulation – desirable
• Excellent communication skills -both oral and written
