Key areas of responsibility:
Strategic management of the companies Contract Manufacturing partners Manage the transition of hardware production lines to our dedicated Contract Manufacturing Partner. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions. Drive cost reduction initiatives and plans to achieve target of 2.5% cost reduction per quarter across all production lines. Partner with Contract Manufacturer to improve efficiencies in the Supply Chain process by developing plans on buffers stocks and leadtime improvements to ensure standard leadtimes for finished products is met. Escalate with key vendors in the Supply Chain when required to drive leadtime reduction or expedite critical component shortages
Partner with the companies Production Planning department to ensure manufacturing plan and priorities are met. Partner with Research and Development to ensure timely delivery of prototypes, and source critical components as required. Partner with Research and Development, planning, marketing and Contract Manufacturer to plan and transition new products from design to full production. Be single point of contact for procurement Drive weekly production calls with Contract Manufacturer, planning and the hardware divisions. Drive internal bi-weekly update meetings to senior management. Drive Quarterly performance review meetings. Foster relationships with Finance, Worldwide Order Fulfillment, and the Hardware divisions.
Prerequisites:
the successful candidate will have:
7 + years experience and proven track record in Senior Hi-tech, complex computer Hardware procurement management, experience in; Strategic Vendor Management Vendor contract management Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Cost saving track record External Contract Manufacturing management Third level qualification in business related discipline, Supply Chain Management and/or APIC's qualification. Strong computer skills (MS Office, particularly Excel, Visio). SAP knowledge an advantage Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of French language is desired Team oriented individual, with a can do attitude, able to communicate effectively at all levels and manage concurrent activities. High levels of self motivation and discipline, commitment to continuous improvement Must have good attention to detail, be adaptable and have a quality and ethically orientated approach. Must be prepared to travel frequently when required.
