Citco Fund Services is a global leader in offering a complete range of accounting, administration, shareholder and corporate services to hedge funds and collective investment schemes.

Position Overview
A position has now opened in our Application Support team within our Dublin office.
The role is to provide development and application support for our core product AExeo and supporting applications. Our applications are written in Java and Borland Delphi using Sybase and Oracle data servers to manage data for over 150 clients in locations throughout the world.
As a support analyst, your role is to troubleshoot and isolate on-line problems effectively and efficiently and develop work-around solutions where possible. You will also be required to do some java development. This is a demanding role within a fast paced business unit requiring customer facing skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be able to take control of challenging situations and deal with external and internal clients effectively.
The ideal candidate should be a self starter and will be required to be hands on in many areas such as UNIX, Sybase, Oracle, Java, WAS and Borland Delphi.

We require someone with minimum 3 years experience working in a similar environment.

Key responsibilities:


  • Ablility to logically work through problems and apply an appropriate solution
  • Ablility to write and debug java code
  • Daily maintenance of applications and trouble shooting problems with the application as they arise
  • Support internal and external business customers
  • Prompt response and resolution of issues raised by business
Technical Skills required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java
  • Excellent Knowledge of Oracle
  • Knowledge of SQL and databases
  • Knowledge of unix scripting and editors (vi or emacs)
  • Familiarity in working on NT and Unix operating systems
Other skills desired
  • Knowledge of J2EE an advantage
  • Ability to read Borland Delphi code
  • Knowledge of xml an advantage
  • A keen interest in learning the business side of hedge fund accounting
Education, Qualifications and Special Training
  • Third level degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Knowledge of financial instruments desirable
