Business Consultant
FINEOS is a global innovator of enterprise software solutions for insurance, bancassurance and government. We are looking to hire talented and highly motivated individuals who believe they can make a significant contribution to the growth of a market leader. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Consultant. An insurance background is necessary to assist in the understanding of our client’s requirements.
As a FINEOS Business Consultant you will be expected to lead the requirements gathering and requirements management processes. Using a variety of standard requirements gathering techniques you will be expected to elicit requirements and subsequently manage and trace these requirements through solution, test and delivery.
The Business Consultant is expected to be able to plan their time and work with the extended project team to ensure the delivery of requirements and configuration of the solution within agreed project deadlines. You will communicate scope changes to the client and manage the client’s expectations creating satisfied customers. The Business Consultant is also expected to assist the client in defect management
You will be expected to contribute to the industry best practice standards and to provide input to the continuous improvement of these standards within FINEOS. When necessary you will recommend changes to business processes to reflect lessons learned from project experience. Over time you will be expected to become a FINEOS product expert and lead the client in configuring the FINEOS product to its best advantage.
The role is largely a client facing role. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to allow you to establish and maintain key relationships with both the client and the wider FINEOS organisation. These skills are also necessary to ensure that the client is supported effectively and always provided with the latest FINEOS information. They are also key to ensuring that client presentations and training is always both effective and relevant.
You will be expected to train customers in FINEOS product and to mentor other business consultants as you become an expert in your role. It may also be required for the business consultant to work with the FINEOS training department in order to tailor training courses to a client’s specific needs.
Responsibilities:
· Liaising with Sales to ascertain the project scope and high level requirements
· Familiarising yourself with the sales demonstration build and configuration
· Eliciting Requirements from clients and documentation of those requirements
· Planning and leading requirement workshops with clients.
· Communicating the customer requirements to all stakeholders
· Managing requirements through to delivery
· Working with the project manager to estimate and plan the requirements gathering, configuration solution and requirements management for the project and closely tracking against that plan
· Configuration of the FINEOS product in line with business requirements.
· Advising best practice and risks associated with non- adherence to key project stakeholders ( PM’s, TC’s, Customer Account Managers etc.)
· Managing clients expectations of the FINEOS delivery
· Presentations of FINEOS product
· Training and Presentations to Clients and the wider project team
