Lifestyle Protection Insurance
Lifestyle Protection Insurance helps consumers meet their payment obligations on outstanding financial commitments such as mortgages, personal loans or credit cards in the event of involuntary unemployment, illness, permanent disability or death. Our products provide lenders an additional source of revenue while our significant market diversification can help to reduce the risk of their loan portfolios.
Compliance Officer:
• Working closely with the Regional Counsel for the Western Region to advise and support new client and new product launches in UK and Ireland
• Providing day to day compliance support to sales teams and operations
• Working with Genworth's European compliance team to devise and implement compliance management framework and compliance policies and procedures in the Western Region
• Driving business compliance with applicable European and national legal and regulatory requirements
• Providing support to claims management teams in Shannon
• Working with PPI's Ombudsperson to drive compliance with Genworth's Integrity policies in UK and Ireland
• Working with PPI European Compliance Training manager to provide compliance training to sales teams and operations
• Acting as business liaison with local regulators and keeping business informed of regulatory changes
• Representing Genworth Financial on compliance related industry panels and trade associations
Qualifications
Essential
• Minimum of 3 years compliance/legal experience with insurance or other financial services business in UK and/or Ireland
• Working knowledge of local consumer and insurance laws and regulations in UK and Ireland
• Experience in dealing with regulators, trade associations and other government agencies in the financial services sector
• Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) in English
• Legal background, knowledge or experience
Preferred
• Experience of consumer litigation and claims management
