This person will liaise between sales, risk management and engineering to ensure that billing, payment and fraud mitigation processes are efficient and effective within EMEA. This will require training and educating sales and operation teams, developing new processes and working with engineering to prioritise new forms of payments and tools enhancement throughout EMEA. Another aspect of this newly created role is to help our users stay safe online and protect our company's assets. This will require detecting and investigating potential fraud and taking action to stop it. You will report into the Online Sales and Operation Manager, as part of the Billing, Payments and Fraud team, with a dotted line into the Risk Management team. This position is located in our Dublin,Ireland office.
Responsibilities - Collating credit check applications in line with credit policies for review with Finance
- Communicating changes to the EMEA sales teams
- Prioritizing, prototyping/testing and planning payment and product launches within EMEA, in addition to testing risk detection tools and processes
- Identify, design and implement countermeasures to stop fraud
- Gather and synthesize relevant data, suggesting improvements in the tools and techniques to help scale the team
- Review future products for vulnerabilities
- Understanding local country exceptions and escalating country specific issues and opportunities
- Develop and lead end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery of critical risk / payment initiatives
- Review and take action on reports of fraud from outside partners such as charge-backs from banks
- Interface with outside partners such as banks, vendors, and law enforcement
Requirements - BA/BS degree from a leading academic institution or equivalent experience
- A passion for Facebook
- Three to four years of investigations experience in finance, fraud, technical, or credit domains
- Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized
- Strong computer applications skills, some knowledge of internet technologies such as IPs and cookies
- Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment a plus
