Overview
The Logistics Department, based in Cork, supports all transportation, Distribution Centre and Customer Service elements for the European/non EU Market. The person must have strong skills in excel/spreadsheets and be particularly diligent to detail.
Responsibilities
• Tracking / managing all inbound iPhone shipments (with all carriers) and supporting administration work with customs for non EU countries/(Advanced Shipping Notification) ASN management
• Supplier Management: management of daily operational matters with identified inbound carriers, performance measurement, problem solving, payment resolution, global track and trace monitoring
• Ownership of monthly reporting - carrier scorecards and monthly management performance reports
• Liaising with iPhone Order Management Group as required, problem resolution and supporting of new Telcommunication Companies and requirements
• Issuing of iPhone tracker to various groups communicating ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) status
• Ensure ASN is completed for each DN (Delivery Note) created at Asian OEM
• Ability to follow through and close out on all matters
Experience and Education
• Ideally - previous experience in 'logistics' environment
• Previous experience of carrier/vendor management
• Intermediate excel skills
• Self starter that can work on own initiate
• Ability to think through problems and identify possible solutions
• Good communicator at all levels both verbally and in writing
• Work well within a team and support team/department goals/priorities
• Ability to react to change
• Flexibility - must be able to work as required to fulfill business needs.
