Job Description
A senior opportunity has become available for a PRODUCTION MANAGER in one of it's main manufacturing sites which is based in Co. Kerry.
Roles/Responsibilities
Lead a shift of Production Operators, maintenance personnel and supervisory staff.
Achieve and exceed daily production and export targets within tight quality and budgetary constraints.
Develop and implement effective communication between all team members which lead to improved team functionality.
Deal effectively with local employee issues which arise and ensure a consistent interpretation and implementation of company policies and procedures.
Formulate training plans within the shift, ensuring that all staff are fully cross trained in a range of areas.
Maintain high standards of quality and hygiene within the department, ensuring strict adherence to all policies and procedures.
Implement prompt corrective action for all quality € related issues within the direct control of the production department.
Skills/Experience
Candidates should have at least 5 years people-management experience in a regulated Food or Pharmaceutical business.
Education / Professional Qualifications
A degree qualification in Food Science, Engineering, or similar is essential. A further supervisory management certificate/diploma is preferred, although not essential.
